Breaks
The Breaks settings control how XactTime collects and calculates break times.
1. Fill in the settings as appropriate:
a.
Break Type: These settings define how XactTime collects break times.
b.
Break is not allowed: Select this option if employees are not allowed to clock in and
out for breaks.
c.
Employees manually clock out for breaks: Select this option if employees are
expected to clock in and out for breaks and get a fixed number of breaks per day.
Enter the number of breaks employees get each day.
d.
The system automatically subtracts break time from employees; shifts: Select
this option if employee breaks will be automatically subtracted from their shifts. Note:
Automatic breaks are now being deleted, and then regenerated when an edit occurs
within the clock in/out for the shift. Existing business rules will be used during
regeneration. Any auto deduct breaks that have been modified and saved will not be
deleted or regenerated.
i. Add Detail.
a. Enter break duration (Allow for XX minutes of break)
b. Check box if Break is paid.
c. Check box if Break is applied to overtime.
d. Select how Auto Break is added.
ii. Click Add to add detail.
2. Click Apply Changes to complete the entry.
Note: The changes will not be saved if you do not click Apply Changes.
