TA100 Pro - Adding a Dollar Amount
Environment
The information in this article applies to:
Summary
With TA100 Pro there are two types of transactions possible. These transaction types are a dollar amount transaction and a time amount transaction. In the first transaction type you are able to add in a lump-sum dollar amount to your employees' timecard. In the second, more common, transaction type you are able to add in time to an employees timecard.
With this article we will cover adding in time in a dollar amount. In our example below Ruth Cole will be taking 200 dollars of Per Diem #1 pay during the 11/25 to 12/08 pay period. The pay type you decide to pay your employee depends upon how your categories are setup. If you have categories of sales commission, phone commission and bonus then you may use pay types of sales commission, phone commission and bonus.
In other words, although we are using Per Diem #1 in our example below your company may choose a different pay type based on the structure of your companies categories of pay. What will remain the same, however, is the selection of a dollar amount type category.
To begin we must select an employee. In our example our employee is Ruth Cole. Our current pay period is from 11/25 to 12/08.
Once you have selected your employee you will need to click the Multiple Misc. button at the bottom of the screen. This will bring up a Multiple Miscellaneous Transaction window where you will be able to add in your dollar amount transaction.
Use the drop down menu to select your pay type category. This will be the type of pay you wish to give the employee e.g. Commission or Bonus. In our example we will use Per Diem #1. You will notice that for any pat type which is a dollar amount it will say to the right of the name (Dollars).
Select the pay type which you wish to use. In our example we will use Per Diem #1.
Enter in an amount in dollars which you would like to give the employee. Also, select the date in which you would like to add the transaction to the timecard. Click the Apply button and then afterwards click the OK button.
After clicking the OK button you will see the time added to your employees timecard. In our example on 11/25/13 Mon PRD1 is payed at a Dollar amount of 200 at 11:20am. You can see this as the highlighted transaction.
Please note that not all dollar amount transactions are placed at the top of the timecard. Some transactions may occur mixed in with the regular times on the timecard depending on when the dollar amount transaction occurs.
